Sarah Raven Study Days

Sarah Raven, the famous gardening writer, broadcaster and teacher, is returning to Newby Hall for two inspirational study days in September 2010.

Sarah’s study days are hugely popular for both beginners and experienced gardeners alike, and as numbers are strictly limited please book early to avoid disappointment!

Monday 13th September 2010:
Year Round Vegetables, Herbs, and Salad Day

Tuesday 14th September 2010:
The Cutting Garden

Attendees will be able to ask Sarah questions as well as buy seeds, bulbs, tools, books and other gardening products from her exclusive range.

One Day Course £90
Two Day Course £170

This will include a light lunch with a glass of wine, and free admission to the award winning gardens.

Newby Hall is proud host of the Darlington Dog Show!

Over the three days, visitors will be able to see every conceivable breed of pedigree dog – from all over Great Britain and abroad – being handled & judged.

There will be trade stands, on site catering and more.

Working & Pastoral Groups
Sunday 20th September 2010:
Gundog & Toy Groups

Dog Show Admission is FREE.
Entry to the Car Park (Adjacent to the Show) is £10 per car.

Following last year’s ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’, Newby Hall and Gardens is delighted to announce that the Shakepeare’s Globe will be returning with ‘The Comedy of Errors’.

Performed by a small troupe, and showcasing some of the Globe Company’s brightest stars, this production will bring the excitement and vibrancy of Elizabethan theatre to Newby Hall’s Gardens, recreating the relaxed atmosphere enjoyed by audiences in Shakespeare’s time.
