Three Steps to Walking to School!

There are three linked schemes designed to create awareness in parents and children of the benefits of walking to school.

In addition to the Walk to School Week, there is the Walk to School Month in October and the year-round Walk Once a Week (WoW), whereby children can earn collectible badges according to how many journeys they make.

Since the inception of WoW, nearly one fifth of children surveyed now say that they have started walking to school because of the scheme – and a staggering 212,000 take part.
