How to Get to Best Western Dean Court Hotel
FROM LEEDS – via the A64 (avoiding York centre) Travel east on the A64. Take the A1237 (York North and Thirsk). Continue for a few miles following the signs to Thirsk A19. At the (4th) roundabout that intersects the A19 turn right still following on A19 looking for RawcliffeClifton signs. Continue for 2 miles. At the traffic lights: (1) go straight ahead through the old stone archway of the City walls and up the narrow one way street and turn right at the top. (not accessible 10am-4pm11noon-4pm Suns) alternatively (2) continue to next lights and turn left. Hotel is on the left just before the Minster.FROM THE SOUTH – M1 and AND A1(M)Travel North on the M1. Pick up A1(M) North. Look for signs to York leading eventually to A64 York exit then follow directions as above.FROM SELBY VIA A19Take FULFORD signs from A64 into York. At first roundabout go straight over. At 2nd go straight ahead following City Centre signs. Continue on road (past Mecca Bingo and Novotel) Then at next roundabout take 2nd exit. Follow road eventually croossing the river. At 2nd lights after river turn right. Then at next lights turn left. At the bend at the at top of this incline get into right hand lane to turn right at next lights. After these lights immediately move over to the left lane and turn left at next lights (you’ve actually turned back on yourself in this one way system) which will take you over Lendal Bridge. Go straight through the next lights and the Hotel is on the left just before the Minster.FROM THE NORTH Via A1(M)Take A59 (Junction 47) follow signs to York. Turn left to the A1237. Take the 2nd roundabout RawcliffeClifton (A19) then follow as above.FROM YORK RAILWAY STATIONTurn left out of the station. Go through the first set of traffic lights (after the pedestrian crossing) then move into the left hand lane. At the next set turn left and go over the bridge.. At the next lights go straight ahead. The Hotel is on the left just before the Minster.
