Come and say a fond farewell to the Mallard!
The iconic Mallard locomotive is leaving York to join in with Locomotion, the National Railway Museum at Shildon on the 23rd June 2010.
During half term the National Railway Museum will host a number of family activities based around the beautiful steam train.
Step on board the footplate with our Explainers, hear how it became the fastest steam locomotive in the world and take away a commemorative souvenir badge.
You can also enjoy exciting steam rides, funfair rides, storytelling, and our From Rocket To Bullet science show throughout the week.

Entry to NRM York is FREE, a small charge applies for steam rides.
