NOISY BOXES! FLASHING LIGHTS! POP TUNES BY THE BEAT COMBOS OF YESTERDAY, TODAY AND TOMORROW! PUB PRICES! SEXY BAR STAFF! EVEN THE BLOKES! 
So … you already know Up The Racket has been running the best New Year’s Eve nights since whenever: only this year in a bigger, brighter space! With lots of comfy seating, two bars so you don’t have to wait forever to get served, enormous dance floor so you can throw ‘yer shapes and, of course, that fantastic Duchess atmosphere entirely free of well, you know, u.n.d.e.s.i.r.a.b.l.e.s.
And this year it’s a straight fight between indie electro rock’n'roll explosion Up The Racket and Popaganda, the area’s only guilty pleasures event where it’s OK to play Wild Cherry, Pendulum, Fall Out Boy and Johnny Cash on the same night. And, yes yes yes, the odd rock anthem here and there…
