dig-york-logoDIG York is a wonderful place where you can learn all about the archaeology, find out all about historic Leeds and see the items that have been discovered and dug up over the years.

What makes DIG York so special is that it not only exhibits items from as far back historically as Roman, Viking and Medieval times DIG York actually asks you to get involved. DIG shows you how archaeology is carried out and letting you really get hands on.

Situated on a site where a church has stood for nearly a thousand years DIG is located in the St Saviours Church which has been there since the 1500’s. DIG is an interesting and innovative place to visit.

DIG will show you the sites of Roman, Viking, Medieval and Victorian digs, right to the artifact studying area where you can find out extraordinary facts.
