Selby benefits from £5 million redevelopment ‘Rennaisance Scheme’
The ‘Rennaisance Scheme’, funded by the Yorkshire Forward Development Agency, has already seen the redevelopment of the Abbey Square Precinct. The market place returned there yesterday after a £1.4 million spend to improve the area.
Further progress in the ‘Rennaisance Scheme’ see a new park open this Saturday by the side of the River Ouse.

North Yorkshire and Humber experience a rise in new construction project starts
The recession has not provided an easy time for the construction industry and many UK regions are still seeing a fall in the number of new private sector developments.
Luckily the public sector continues to put forward contracts for social housing and utilities and this has, in the main, helped to counteract the private sector downturn.
Construction News reports that whilst the birth of new projects is currently down in many of areas in the UK North Yorkshire and Humber has experienced growth of new construction projects in May, June and July.

£35 million regeneration contract for North Yorkshire won by Morgan Sindall
North Yorshire can look forward to whole new future with the confirmation that Morgan Sindall, a leading UK construction firm, have taken the £35 million contract to improve prospects in the Craven District Council Area.
The project will see the building of 220 homes and shops.
